Planning Board

The next meeting of the South Bristol Planning Board is a regular meeting scheduled for Tuesday, March 3, 2026 at 7:00pm. This will be an in-person meeting.


Regular Meetings of the South Bristol Planning Board are held on the first Tuesday of each month at 7:00 pm at the South Bristol Town Office. Special Meetings may be held at the discretion of the Chair.

All meetings will be held in person. Special requests for remote participation may be made to the Chair and must be in accordance with Article IX of the By-Laws of Planning Board (last revised December 14, 2021).

Notice and Agenda for all meetings will be posted on the bulletin board outside the Town Office and on this website on the Friday before the meeting. Draft Minutes of the Meetings are usually available here within 96 hours of the meeting.

All official records of the South Bristol Planning Board are kept at the South Bristol Town Office. This website is to assist in notice of meetings and in the routine distribution of minutes, agendas, and other public material. This website is for the convenience of the Planning Board and the Public and may not contain the complete record.  This website is under construction and may change without notice.

New Applications

The entire Application form must be filled out. The application must be received by the Planning Board by the close of business on Thursday prior to the meeting at which the application will be reviewed. (Reviews usually take place on the first Tuesday of the month.) One hard copy must be delivered to the Town Office and one digital copy (*.pdf) must be delivered to mcsrory@gmail.com. The application must be complete and signed to be acted on. All required submissions including the fee must be included with the application.

The Planning Board may waive any of the submission requirements based upon a written request from the applicant. Such request must be made at the time of the pre-application conference or at the initial review of the application if no pre-application conference is held. A waiver of any submission requirement may be granted only if the Board makes a written finding that the information is not reasonably necessary in order to determine compliance with the standards and requirements of the ordinance.
